Santos day nurseries is a new setting established in 2017 in the heart of Great Barr, West Midlands providing high quality childcare for babies from 6 weeks of age to 5 years old in a safe and stimulating environment.
We also offer a before and after school provision and holiday clubs to children from local schools up to 11 years of age.
Classroom Facilities
The children are able to attend flexible sessions over the opening hours of 8 am to 6 pm (Mon-Fri) and classes are divided into two ‘year groups’ over the two floors.
We have two cheeky monkey classes on the first floor for our babies and two rising stars classes for our children between the ages of 2-3 years old and three free play preschool classes on the ground floor for our children between 3 to rising 5 years of age.
We have a separate room on the first floor for our older children that join us after school and during holidays.
Cheeky Monkeys Class
AGES 6 WEEKS – 18 MONTHS
The Cheeky monkeys Class takes babies from six weeks old until after their first birthday, though the exact point of entry will depend on how ready the child is to start at nursery. In order to ascertain this, we liaise with parents on an individual basis as we recognise that all children are different.
Rising Stars
AGES 18 MONTHS – 3 YEARS
The children move into the rising stars once they are steady walkers or following discussions with the staff and parents, it is decided that it would benefit a child to spend a further term in the Cheeky monkeys Class.
Preschoolers Class
AGES 3 – 5 Years
These are located on the ground floor and is one of three pre-school classes. The children are aged between three and four years. It is typically comprised of the children who have their birthdays between the beginning of March until the end of August, therefore the younger children in the academic year.
After School/ Holiday Club Room
AGES 5 – 11 YEARS
This is located on the first floor and is usually accessed by children up to age 11 in school holidays, the resources are a range of digital, board games, football tables and activities suitable to the age groups we cater for.
